Age Limits and Government Age Relaxations
The standard baseline age limit is 18 to 30 years (and up to 35 years specifically for the Civil/MT Driver position), calculated precisely from the closing date of June 21, 2026.
The federal government provides generous upper age limit relaxations for specific categories:
Sindh (Rural) & Balochistan: 3 years additional relaxation for candidates applying for BPS-15 and below positions.
Scheduled Castes, Buddhist Community, Tribal Areas, Azad Kashmir & Gilgit-Baltistan: 3 years general relaxation.
Government Servants / Contract Workers: 10 years upper age relaxation (must have completed 2 years of continuous government service by the closing date).
Disabled Persons: 10 years upper age relaxation for posts in BPS-15 and below.
Armed Forces Personnel (Released/Retired): 15 years or the actual number of years served in the Armed Forces of Pakistan (whichever is less).
Deceased Civil Servant's Children: 5 years relaxation for the widow, son, or daughter of a civil servant who died during active service.
Application Fee & Processing Charges
BPS-11 Positions (LDC): Candidates applying for the Lower Division Clerk post must deposit an application processing fee of Rs. 1000/-.
Payment Methods: The fee can be deposited via an online-generated Challan Form at any branch of Askari Bank or through Easypaisa.
Note: Bank Drafts or Postal Orders will be strictly rejected by the recruitment cell.
How to Apply Online for MES Jobs 2026
Eligible candidates must complete the process digitally before the deadline. Follow these steps:
Online Registration: Visit the official portal of the Military Engineering Services at www.mes.gov.pk.
Form Submission: Fill out the online registration form carefully and make sure to specify your desired examination center.
Screening Tests: Shortlisted candidates will be required to appear for a screening (written) test or a practical skill test at designated cities: Peshawar, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Multan, Karachi, and Quetta.
LDC Testing: The objective-type screening test for LDCs will cover Islamic Studies, Pakistan Studies, English, General/IT Knowledge, and a subject-relevant paper, followed by a mandatory typing test. Paper checking will be conducted via an Optical Mark Reader (OMR) machine.
Documents Required During the Interview
Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interviews. You must produce the following original documents along with one set of attested photocopies:
3 x Latest passport-size photographs.
Attested copies of all educational qualification certificates/degrees.
Attested copy of computerized CNIC.
Domicile certificate verified by the concerned district management.
Experience Certificates (where applicable).
Discharge certificate DASB (for ex-Army personnel) or an official department-issued NOC for current government servants.
Non-Muslim applicants must provide a declaration on oath verified by a Magistrate Grade-I.
Disabled candidates must show a valid disability certificate issued by the District Rehabilitation Organization or District Council of Health.
