The Bank of Punjab Seeks Senior Leader for Divisional Head SAM in Risk Management Group

Job Summary & Major Responsibilities

The Divisional Head SAM will be a senior leader responsible for the remedial management of the bank’s non-performing portfolio. The key responsibilities include:

  • Compliance and Policy Adherence: Ensuring all activities are in accordance with the Bank’s Restructure/Rescheduling Policy and SBP Regulations.

  • Business Analysis: Conducting complete business analysis to assess troubles to the business and the capacity to cope with crises.

  • Debt and Loss Management: Overseeing debt valuation, appraisal of losses, and the remedial management of the Non-Performing Portfolio.

  • Legal Coordination: Acting as a bridge between clients and legal counsels for documentation and filing timely recovery suits against defaulters.

  • Litigation and Recovery Strategy:

    • Developing mechanisms for continuous feedback from lawyers and making periodical court appearances to monitor the performance of legal counsels.

    • Crafting and executing recovery strategies in consultation with lawyers.

    • Initiating hard-hitting actions, including civil and criminal litigation, placement of defaulters’ names on the ECL, search and attachment of hidden assets, and invocation of NAB Ordinance provisions for speedy recovery.

  • MIS Development: Developing and maintaining an effective Management Information System (MIS) for the department.


Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following criteria to be considered for this leadership role:

  • Qualification: A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree from an HEC-recognized University or a Foreign University.

  • Age: Up to 55 years as of October 26, 2025.

  • Experience:

    • A minimum of 10 years of banking experience is required.

    • Preference shall be given to candidates who have 08 years of relevant experience specifically in Credit / NPLs / SAM portfolio handling.
