Job Purpose
The Chief Technology Officer will be responsible for leading and managing the IT division’s portfolio. The core purpose of the role is to develop and implement effective IT strategies, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive the future technology agenda for the State Life Insurance Corporation (SLIC), particularly in alignment with Digital Financial Services. This position plays a key part in optimizing portfolio performance and supporting the organization’s long-term IT growth and overall strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
The CTO will be tasked with a wide range of strategic and operational duties, including:
Designing, implementing, and maintaining the core ERP solution and managing IT resources to maintain a competitive advantage.
Providing transformational leadership and senior-level advocacy for the delivery of technology solutions.
Developing and implementing the IT strategy for the organization and fostering a culture of innovation and change.
Consistently evaluating business performance and carrying out Business Process Re-engineering (BPR) / Business Process Improvement (BPI) to enhance the efficiency of core IT solutions.
Identifying competitive advantages and technology trends and making recommendations for the benefit of the Corporation.
Candidates with Project Management Certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2, or those with practical experience managing data centers and IT solutions, will be preferred.
Education
A minimum of 16 years of education, having completed a BE/BCS/MSc.
Postgraduate achievements in Computer Science/Information Technology, preferably with a Master’s in Information Science or Business from a reputable university recognized by HEC/PEC.
Experience
An overall experience of 20+ years in the field of Technology and/or Management.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in designing and successfully implementing major ERP or Core Insurance or similar backbone solutions at an enterprise level.
Experience of five (05) years in a management and leadership role such as Chief Information Officer, Chief Technology Officer, or similar positions involving the design and implementation of technology solutions for digital transformation.
Preference will be given to candidates with a proven record of achievements in technology and change management at senior management levels in organizations of similar size.
Age
The candidate should preferably be not more than 55 years of age. However, age relaxation may be given in suitable cases.
