Eligibility Criteria

Education: A Master’s degree (constituting at least 16 years of education) in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
Experience: A professional experience of not less than twenty (20) years in the areas of accountancy, commerce, economics, finance, or law.
Age Limit: The maximum age for applicants is 62 years.
In the event that more than 15 eligible candidates apply, the short-listing process will be conducted through an evaluation based on factors such as local or foreign qualifications, additional higher qualifications in a relevant field, leadership roles, and regulatory experience.
Emoluments and Remuneration
The selected candidate will be offered a competitive remuneration package in line with the following terms:
The package will be determined as per Rule-4 of the Competition Commission (Salary, Terms and Conditions of Chairman and Members) Rules, 2009.
The salary will be the median of the MP-I scale and will be entitled to annual increments as earned in the normal course of this scale.
All terms and conditions of service are subject to revision by the Federal Government from time to time.
Important Condition: In case of selection, candidates currently employed in Government Departments, Semi-Government Departments, International Financial Institutions, Multilateral Organizations, Autonomous or Semi-Autonomous Bodies, and the private sector will be required to resign or seek retirement before joining the Commission. The acceptance of their resignation from the previous job is mandatory before they can assume their new role.
Tenure of Appointment
The appointment for the Member of the CCP will be for a fixed term with the following conditions:
The selected candidate will be appointed for a term of three (03) years.
The appointed member will cease to hold office upon either attaining the age of sixty-five (65) years or the expiry of the three-year term, whichever occurs earlier.
