MEPCO is looking to fill two critical senior management roles that will report directly to the CEO and Board of Directors.
1. Chief Legal Officer (CLO)
Mandatory Qualifications & Experience:
A minimum of 16 years of education in Law is mandatory (LL.B). An LL.M or Barrister-at-Law from a reputable institution will be considered an added advantage.
Must be a licensed Advocate of the High Court.
A minimum of 15 years of post-qualification legal experience. This must include at least 5 years in a leadership role as head of a legal affairs department within a large-scale national/multinational corporate or public sector organization, OR 15 years of legal practice, including a minimum of 10 years as an Advocate of the High Court.
Essential Skills & Competencies:
A proven track record of leading corporate legal teams, contract management, and dispute resolution.
Comprehensive command over corporate, commercial, labor, regulatory, contractual, and procurement laws.
Strong understanding of NEPRA, SECP, PPRA, SOE Act 2023, and Companies Act 2017.
Demonstrated ethical leadership, integrity, and the ability to handle high-pressure and sensitive legal matters.
2. Chief (Information Technology & Systems) (CIT&S)
Mandatory Qualifications & Experience:
A 16-years degree (Master’s preferred) in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field from an HEC-recognized local or foreign university.
A minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience, including at least 2 years in a senior leadership role (e.g., CIO, CTO, DG IT) managing enterprise-level IT operations.
Experience in the energy, utilities, infrastructure sector, or a large-scale national/multinational corporate or public sector organization is required.
Essential Skills & Competencies:
Demonstrated leadership of large-scale IT organizations with a successful track record of delivering complex digital transformation initiatives.
Expertise in IT operations, automation, and enterprise platforms such as ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
Strong capability in data governance, data analytics, and business intelligence.
Up-to-date knowledge of global industry trends, including cloud computing, cybersecurity, and AI.
Strong experience in enterprise IT governance, including the design and implementation of robust governance frameworks and cybersecurity measures.
Position Details, Remuneration, and Age Limit
Contract Term: The appointment will be for 3 years, extendable one time upon performance, but not exceeding 65 years of age.
Place of Posting: MEPCO Headquarters, Multan.
Age Limit: The upper age limit is 62 years at the time of the closing date. No further relaxation will be granted.
Remuneration: A market-based competitive salary package (Rs. 0.8 to Rs. 1 million per month or more), commensurate with experience and qualifications, along with additional benefits.
