Sindh Health Department Announces Community Midwifery Training Course Admissions for 2025-2027 The Directorate General of Health Services Sindh in Hyderabad has officially opened admissions for the Community Midwifery (CMW) Training Course, Batch-17, for the academic session 2025-2027. Applications are invited from female candidates who are permanent residents of specified Union Councils across numerous districts of Sindh. This 24-month training program aims to enhance maternal and child health services at the grassroots level.
Eligibility Criteria for CMW Course
To be eligible for admission, candidates must meet the following requirements:
Qualification: Applicants must have passed their Matriculation (SSC) with at least 40% marks from a recognized board.
Marital Status: Preference will be given to married female candidates.
Residency: Candidates must be permanent residents of the specific Union Council (UC) from where they are applying.
Experience: Preference will also be given to candidates who have prior relevant experience.
District-Wise Interview Schedule and Venues
The selection process includes interviews which will be held at various locations across Sindh on specified dates. The schedule is as follows:
For Ghotki, Sukkur, and Malir Districts:
Venue: Respective District Health Offices (DHOs) and designated CMW Schools.
Date: August 28, 2025
For Tharparkar and Shikarpur Districts:
Venue: Respective DHOs and designated CMW Schools.
Date: August 29, 2025
For Sanghar, Jacobabad, Badin, Khairpur, Matiari, and Naushero Feroze Districts:
Venue: Respective DHOs and designated CMW Schools.
Date: September 2, 2025
For Umerkot, Kamber, and Larkana Districts:
Venue: Respective DHOs and designated CMW Schools.
Date: September 3, 2025
For Tando Allahyar and Mirpurkhas Districts:
Venue: Respective DHOs and designated CMW Schools.
Date: September 2, 2025
For Shaheed Benazirabad, Dadu, Tando Muhammad Khan, Jamshoro, Hyderabad, Kashmore, South, and Central Districts:
Venue: Respective DHOs and designated CMW Schools/Colleges.
Date: September 1, 2025
Application Process and Key Dates
Application Form: Application forms can be obtained from the offices of the concerned District Health Officer (DHO) or Civil Surgeon.
Application Deadline: The last date for submitting application forms is August 29, 2025.
Required Documents: Applicants must attach attested photocopies of their Domicile, PRC, CNIC (or B-Form if under 18), and Matriculation Pass Certificate/Marksheet. Original documents must be presented at the time of the interview.
Selection: The selection will be conducted by the District Recruitment Committee based on merit.
Important Information About the Training Program
Duration: The training course is for a period of 24 months.
Stipend: A monthly stipend of Rs. 5,000 will be paid to each selected candidate for the duration of the training.
Bond/Service Agreement: Selected candidates will be required to sign a bond committing to serve in their respective Union Councils after the successful completion of their training.
Accommodation: No accommodation or hostel facilities will be provided by the department.
This initiative is a crucial step towards strengthening community health infrastructure and providing skilled midwifery care in rural and underserved areas of Sindh.
