Pakistan Reinsurance Company Limited (PRCL) is currently seeking applications for the position of Chief Medical Officer on a contractual basis. This presents a fantastic opportunity for individuals with the requisite qualifications and experience in healthcare administration to join a reputable organization and contribute to its mission.
Key Responsibilities:
Key duties include:
- Visiting the head office for five hours daily to review medical files and claims from panel hospitals.
- Scrutinizing and countersigning medical claims for reimbursement by PRCL.
- Attending consultations as per PRCL HR Manual and issuing relevant reference letters or advice as required.
- Conducting medical exams for newly hired employees.
- Referring patients to approved specialists or panel hospitals.
- Making random visits to ensure quality care for patients admitted to panel hospitals.
- Assisting PRCL in the development and implementation of medical rules and policies.
- Providing technical assistance to the Administration Department in healthcare-related functions.
- Any other tasks assigned by the Chief Executive Officer or other authorized officers of PRCL.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- MBBS from a recognized and reputable institution, acknowledged by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan.
- MCPS in Family Medicine or equivalent foreign qualifications would be preferred.
- Higher qualifications in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine are considered an additional advantage.
- Experience:
- At least four years of experience in healthcare administration in a corporate setup, company, or hospital.
- Age Limit:
- The applicant must be under 55 years of age on the closing date of the application submission.
Terms and Conditions:
- Selection will be based on merit as per the specified criteria.
- The interview committee will make the final selection based on candidates’ performance.
- The contract will initially last for two years, with the possibility of extension.
- The successful candidate will receive a fixed consultancy fee, mutually decided during the interview.
- Reporting will be to the Chief Administration Officer or another designated officer.
